It’s raining. Steadily. The precipitation is occurring. The water falleth from the sky. And it’s a nice heavy soil soaking rain too.
Pitter patter pitter patter on the colorbond roof, gently lulling me to sleep. A lullaby from nature.
Grow seeds grow. Swell and burst forth. Shoot for the sky. Broad beans, broccoli, potato onions, onions, leeks, garlic and spuds. Loquats and strawberries still in your packaging, drink deeply too.
Drink deeply, for in this changing climate I know not when it shall rain again and the chlorinated water from our tap is a lowly and shabby second when compared to this, the tears of the sky.
Woah, random moment there. Think this hippy needs sleep. Off to make soap tomorrow. š
Must remember to water the greenhouse tomorrow too.
it sure is great to hear the rain on the roof and it will certainly help you have a restful sleep. š
I miss falling asleep to rain, too; we had lots of rain yesterday and the day before, but the traffic is SO loud and there are so many emergency vehicles on a main street . . . I could tell it was raining from the sound the tyres make swishing along, but not from actually hearing any rain. Lucky you! Loved your ‘random moment’; I think of rain as tears of joy.
Hope we will hear more about the soap . . .
I’ve never thought of them as joyful or sad, just as tears. A cathartic cry maybe.
Still raining this morning too. Going to be a soggy sort of inside day but I can live with that. š
I will most definitely share about the soap course. š
Isn’t it fantastic! I wish we had water tanks to be utalising the rain but sadly our rental doesn’t. Our garden is absolutely loving it though!
We have misty rain but nothing to turn our new rainwater tap on and get any flow at all yet…hopefully we get a bit more and can have a cup of tea with it š
