Peak Challenge by Linda Cockburn

Linda is one of my biggest inspirations behind us making the move to Ballan and a more sustainable lifestyle (Her and Gav from Greening of Gavin). πŸ™‚ She and her family are hardcore about living lightly and ethically on this wonderful planet of ours and are a huge inspiration to me. I squee (out loud at times ;)) when I see a new post from her. πŸ™‚

Linda is working on a project at the moment to put together a short film to help bring our environmental challenges and issues to the general public rather than those of ours who are already enlightened. No point preaching again the converted is there? πŸ˜‰ She is asking for pledges from people, either some funds or at least sharing publicly what she is doing. I’m not on Facebook so that avenue is closed to me but I can share on my blog. πŸ™‚

Peak Challenge by Linda Cockburn.

PLEASE check out Linda and her family on their blogΒ and pledge to help further her wonderful work if you can. I also recommend taking the time to read back through the older blog posts and back to their first blog and experiment if you can too. It’s great reading. πŸ™‚

Linda is also a published author. I’ve not bought ‘Living the Good Life’ (yet) but LOVED ‘Who Killed Dave’ (uproariously funny) so check out her books too. πŸ˜€

Please please take the time to follow the top link though and help spread the word to the rest of the world.

  1. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Living the Good Life was a book I had that was so inspiring and had so much to do with OUR lifestyle. Unfortunately I lost the book quite a few years ago and could not remember neither her name or the title and really wanted another copy. Thanks so much for posting this, I am stoked πŸ™‚ As soon as I saw the name I recognised it, ta, will check out her blog/site.

Thanks for the recommendation, Jess. Funny that title; I continue to be inspired by a set called ‘The Good Life’, ‘Continuing the Good Life’ and ‘Loving and Leaving the Good Life’, all by Helen and Scott Nearing of the north-eastern USA. I’ll have to look for Linda’s book; it sounds equally good. Great blog, too, but wouldn’t accept my comment, as I wrote too much over the limit. Oh, well . . .

    • You write too much? Never! πŸ˜‰ Split your comment and post 2. πŸ™‚

Linda’s blog is awesome and such a huge inspiration.

Just found another good life blog too where Tom and Barbara (pen names) are living about 30 mins drive from me. The good life lifestyle is spreading and that in itself is a huge inspiration too. πŸ™‚
