All hands on deck

The deck has inched its way towards being done. In fact it is all but done. A few aesthetic touches to go, possibly a weatherboard or more and a second coat of paint and then all complete. 🙂

I got sunburned

In August! And no, I am not in the northern hemisphere. It is winter here. Maybe the last few days thereof, but it is still winter. It’s been absolutely lovely outside in the sunshine, soaking up fresh air and vitamin D but after 2 days of doing so, my vitamin D requirements have been overshadowed by sunburn.

Quiet in the blogosphere…

Things have been busy here again after a period of quiet and recuperation. It feels good to be back in the saddle so to speak. 🙂

Identity problems in the garden

My gardens are full of excitement at the moment and it was a real joy to get out and muddy this morning. 🙂 However, I’ve been having some identification problems.

Raked and composted

Yep, we raked this morning. No, the town is not leaf free. 😉 Yes, I have a lovely amount of leaves that are now composting in the front garden in wire mesh baskets all ready to do its thing and turn into lovely nitrogen and carbon-rich plant food. 🙂
